I’m just going to say it…we're all pretty awkward in front of a camera. It is not normal at all to interact with your family in a "natural" way with a camera lady following you around.

For my friends who hesitate to book any kind of photoshoot because they're nervous about their inability to pose, listen up.

The common thread through all of my work isn't that I am able to set up all of these dramatic poses. It's that I'm able to pull out natural emotions through play and am able to grab the little details that mean a lot to you, but nobody else would normally see.

Bottom line: it's completely rational to be nervous about getting your photos taken. But with me, all you have to do is show up and trust me. I'm going to get the shots that show the big picture, with all the little details.
